In Zaporizhzhya, occupiers’ missiles destroyed the largest enterprises of Vilnyansk with a direct hit

On 9 July, in the Zaporizhzhya region, Russian invaders launched a missile attack on the city of Vilnyansk, destroying the largest local enterprises.

This was reported in a telegram from the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration.

"Vilnyansk is under attack again: Russian missiles destroyed the largest enterprises in the city," the regional military administration said.

These are the consequences of another Russian missile attack on Vilnyansk.

In addition, two men were injured in the shelling. One of them is in moderate condition.

"There was an enemy attack with two missiles, a fire broke out. The enterprises were damaged because there was a direct hit," said Nataliya Musiyenko, head of the Vilnyansk city TG.

Viktor, a resident of Vilnyansk who worked as a car mechanic at one of the destroyed facilities, says he left home on time that evening. That’s what saved him:

"I was thinking of staying late at work to repair another car. But I got home on time, at seventeen o’clock. That’s how I got there... Apparently, there is nothing left to restore," said the resident of Svitlodarsk.

The company, which specialised in the manufacture of pallets and briquettes, was also destroyed.

"There was no one at the workplace, so no one was hurt. As for the company, everything was smashed," said its owner, Mr Dmytro.

In his turn, the head of Zaporizhzhya region Ivan Fedorov also spoke about the destruction of enterprises in Vilniansk.

"Two civilian men were injured.

One of them is in moderate condition. There are hundreds of square metres of ash and ruins. The largest enterprises of the community were destroyed. Civilians’ houses have been destroyed," he said.
