Searches are being conducted in the KCSA department due to the death of a boy on an amusement ride

Searches also take place in the state control bodies that issued permits and must exercise proper control over its activities, and directly in the companies of the owner of the attraction.

On Monday, July 22, the Kyiv police are carrying out urgent investigative actions to determine the persons responsible for the death of a 20-year-old guy on the attraction. This was reported by the press service of the capital police.

It is noted that investigators are conducting searches in the relevant services of the Kyiv City State Administration, which agreed on the location of the attraction, state control bodies that issued permits and must exercise proper control over its activities, and directly in the companies of the owner of the attraction.

“As part of the criminal proceedings initiated, law enforcement officers interrogated the director of the attraction and staff and seized official documentation, which will be studied as part of the appointed examination to study the causes and consequences of violations of life safety and labor protection requirements,” the police said.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Art. 272 – Violation of safety rules when performing work with increased danger, resulting in the death of a person, and Part 3 of Art. 367 – Malpractice.

The police added that individuals face up to eight years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
