Defense forces have restored lost positions in one of the directions, – ISW

The Russians continue to advance east of Siversk.

On July 28, the Ukrainian Armed Forces regained lost positions in the northern direction amid Russia’s ongoing offensive operations in the area.

The American Institute for the Study of War ISW reported this in its latest report.

Researchers cite geolocation footage indicating that Ukrainian troops recently regained lost positions in the west of Ivano-Dariivka.

At the same time, on 27 and 28 July, Russian troops continued their offensive east of Siversk in the area of Verkhnekamyanske and southeast of Siversk in the area of Spirne and Ivano-Dariivka. Units of the Russian 106th Airborne Division are reportedly operating near Pereizne (south of Siversk).
