Ministry of Defence will purchase domestic ground drones for more than 3.7 billion hryvnia

The Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence has entered into agreements with a domestic manufacturer for the supply of ground-based kamikaze drones and ammunition for a total amount of more than 3.7 billion hryvnia.

This was reported by the Defence Department.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenkov was present when the agreement was signed.

“We are working to ensure a stable supply of not only unmanned aerial vehicles, but also ground-based kamikaze drones, which should become a powerful tool in the hands of our military,” Dmytro Klymenkov was quoted as saying by the Ministry of Education.

He also added that drones capable of effectively carrying out missions to defeat the enemy are an important component of Ukraine’s defence strategy.

In addition, the Defence Procurement Agency reportedly entered into an agreement for the supply of ammunition.
