Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a powerful operation on Tendrivska Spit

On 6 August, Ukrainian reconnaissance men destroyed the occupiers’ equipment, personnel and fortifications on the Tendrivska Spit in the northern part of the Black Sea. Having completed the task, the defenders withdrew without losses.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The agency also showed a video of the special operation.

Tendrivska Spit is a long, narrow spit island about 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide, located in the northern part of the Black Sea. The raid was carried out by special forces of the Artan Active Action Unit and the DIU Maritime Centre.

At night, a group of soldiers landed on the spit and destroyed enemy armoured vehicles, including MT-LBs, an electronic warfare system, and destroyed the fortifications of Russian troops.

“During the battle, the Russian invaders suffered casualties among personnel - the exact number is being clarified. Having completed the assigned task, including the secret part, the military reconnaissance officers retreated without losses,” the DIU emphasized.

The department added that this is not the first successful active event of military intelligence special forces on the Tendrivska Spit occupied by the Russians. They also warned that the response is only part of a large-scale plan of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, the implementation of which continues.
