Ukrainian air defence forces shoot down all 30 "Shaheds" launched by Russia into Ukraine

On the night of August 7, the Ukrainian air defence forces repelled a drone attack, destroying all 30 Shahed-type attack UAVs. Air defence shot down targets in seven regions.

This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk. According to RMA, a ballistic missile was destroyed in the sky over Sumy region.

It is noted that the Russian occupiers attacked with kamikaze drones from the areas of the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Yeisk.

A total of 30 attack drones were detected and escorted by the Air Force radio engineering troops. As a result of anti-aircraft combat, all of them were shot down in the Kyiv, Khmelnitskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions.

"The forces and means of mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare of the Air Force were used. Thank you for your combat work! Together - to victory!" – added Oleschuk.
