Solar power plant to be built on Chornobyl nuclear power plant site

The solar power plant will be built on the territory of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

This was reported by the State Specialized Enterprise "Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant".

As part of the international humanitarian aid received by Ukraine, the first components for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVP) at the industrial site have arrived at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

From international partners, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant has already received SG110CX grid inverters with a capacity of 110 kVA and SPR-6PB(-HV) solar panels with a capacity of 275 W each. The relevant documents are currently being developed - a technical solution, technical specifications, and a design specification for the solar power plant.

The solar power plant is planned to be created to compensate for the electricity consumed for the needs of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The expected capacity of the solar power plant is approximately 2 MW.
