Air Force revealed how many enemy drones it shot down last night
On the night of August 15, Russian troops launched an air strike on Ukrainian territory. The occupiers attacked Ukraine with X-59 guided air missiles and 29 "shaheds". At the same time, the air defence forces managed to destroy all enemy drones.
This was reported by the Air Force Commander mykola Oleshchuk on Telegram.
It is noted that three X-59 guided air missiles were launched from the airspace of the Kursk region of Russia. Also, 29 strike "shaheeds" were launched from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeysk and Kursk.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, the crews of the mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and the air force’s reconnaissance assets shot down 29 enemy UAVs in the Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions," the report says.
At the same time, the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Vitaliy Kim, reported that 5 Russian drones were shot down over the region.
And the head of Kherson, Oleksandr Prokudin, clarified that 8 “shahids” were destroyed over the region.
