Lithuania to hand over 5,000 drones to Ukraine by end of autumn
Lithuania intends to transfer more than 5,000 drones to Ukraine as part of military aid by the end of autumn.
This was announced by Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė at a press conference with the presidents of Ukraine and Poland in Kyiv.
She noted that a new aid package to Ukraine from Lithuania will arrive soon. It will include 10 short-range air defense systems, anti-drone equipment and other means, as well as ammunition.
"In addition, we are allocating 35 million euros for the purchase of radars and demining equipment for Ukraine. By the end of autumn, we hope to transfer more than 5,000 Lithuanian-made drones," Šimonytė emphasized.
She also added that the Lithuanian government has committed to spending 0.25% of GDP annually on aid to Ukraine.
"My government will not only ensure this, but will also exceed this plan," the Lithuanian Prime Minister emphasized.
