Invaders hit Nikopol: woman killed, five more wounded
Russian occupation forces carried out a brutal artillery attack on Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region on Thursday afternoon, August 29. The attack killed a woman and injured five others.
This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA, Serhiy Lysak. "A 42-year-old woman was killed in Nikopol. The Russians killed her by shelling the city with artillery," the report says.
Another five people were injured to varying degrees of severity. Among the victims were women aged 19 and 59, as well as men aged 30, 60 and 74.
In addition, the shelling caused significant damage to the city: a shopping center, several multi-story buildings, outbuildings and cars were damaged. The attack also damaged a gas pipeline, which may complicate the situation with gas supplies for local residents.
Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the incident, recording yet another war crime by the Russian Federation.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
