Russia attacked Ukraine with "Shaheds" at night: air defence forces destroyed 11 UAVs

On the night of October 2, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine. The enemy sent 32 "Shaheds" to Ukrainian settlements.

During the night battle, air defense forces destroyed 11 Russian kamikaze drones, and another ten were suppressed by electronic warfare. The details were reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the night, the Russians launched 32 Shahed-type attack drones at Ukraine, the launches were carried out from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk areas, Russian Federation.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces shot down 11 attack UAVs in the Kirovohrad, Odesa and Sumy regions," the Air Force reported.

Also, thanks to counteraction of electronic warfare systems, more than a dozen more "Shaheds" were "lost in location" in the northern and central parts of Ukraine. Four enemy drones returned back to Russia.

One of the Russian "Shaheds" landed in the Cherkasy region.

"There were no casualties. However, the debris damaged a power line, as well as several neighboring houses and a utility building. I remind you that suspicious finds should be immediately reported to emergency services: 101, 102," said Igor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy RMA, on the morning of October 2.

In Kirovohrad region, as the head of the RMA Andriy Raikovych noted, there are also shot down targets. The night attack in the region passed without consequences.
