Unscrupulous individuals were setting fire to military vehicles and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy regions.

The Security Service and the National Police detained three groups of arsonists who operated in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy regions. This was reported by the SSU press service on Monday, October 21.

Seven individuals linked to Russian special services were detained, who set fire to military vehicles and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy regions.

To carry out hostile tasks, the suspects used flammable mixtures, and the arsons were recorded on video, which they then "reported" to Russia.

Thus, the culprits hoped to earn "easy" money from their Russian supervisors. However, instead of promised money, they received suspicion from Ukrainian law enforcement.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, two 16-year-old residents of the Nikopol district were exposed, who set fire to a military vehicle and a relay cabinet near an important railway line.

Before the arsons, the suspects performed "verification" tasks from their Russian supervisor, including drawing "Z graffiti" on buildings.

In the Cherkasy region, two residents of Uman, aged 16 and 21, were detained "on hot trails," who within a day set fire to a military minibus and SUV undergoing maintenance after completing combat missions at the front.

In the Odesa region, three more young men were detained, who set fire to eight relay cabinets on railway lines. Thus, the enemy hoped to disrupt the logistics of the Defence Forces towards the southern front.

All detainees have been notified of their suspicion. The defendants face from eight years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
