The Verkhovna Rada will consider a draft law on a 50% discount on TRC fines for evaders

Offenders will be allowed to independently contact the TRC to update their personal data, paying only half of the minimum fine amount.

The Verkhovna Rada will soon consider draft law No. 12093, which proposes to give evaders a 50% discount for voluntarily admitting the violation and paying the fine imposed by the TRC. This was reported by the "Judicial Legal Newspaper".

It is noted that the project was prepared by members of the Rada’s Committee on Law Enforcement. According to the deputies, more than 6 million conscripted citizens did not update their personal data regarding mobile phone, email, and current residence address in 2024, as required by the law. This is an administrative violation, for which a fine of 17,000 to 25,500 UAH is envisaged.

"Thus, currently, the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Liable and Reservists ’Oberih’ does not contain complete information about the personal data of a large number of conscripted citizens, which undoubtedly does not contribute to the mobilization processes in the country," reads the explanatory note.

According to the deputies, offenders will be offered the opportunity to independently contact the TRC to update their personal data, paying a fine for the committed administrative violation in the amount of 50% of the minimal defined fine.

"Since it is envisaged that updating personal data will be a precondition for economic reservation and the use of other important functions of the Electronic Cabinet, it is expected that a significant number of conscripted citizens will use this opportunity," the deputies emphasize in the explanations.
