Assistant to the head of the Podilskyi RTRC in Kyiv detained for bribery

The Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office has notified the assistant to the head of the Podilskyi District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC SS) in legal matters of suspicion of demanding illegal benefits.

This became known from the press release from the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Defence of the Central Region.

According to the investigation, the suspect received a bribe from a lawyer amounting to 25,000 hryvnias and 4,000 dollars in exchange for a promise not to bring the lawyer’s client to administrative responsibility for violating military registration rules, as well as for registering, which would help avoid mobilization.

He is accused of abusing his official powers for obtaining illegal benefits and extortion (Part 3 of Article 368, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail amounting to nearly 212,000 hryvnias.
