The head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Zakarpattia region, Oleksiy Petrichenko, showcases a lifestyle that raises many questions. Despite an official salary of 500,000 UAH per year, his declaration indicates the presence of numerous assets regularly supplemented by new acquisitions.

The first major asset is a residential house of 112 m² in Uzhgorod, which the Petrichenko family acquired back in 2008. Then, in 2015, the official’s wife, Nataliya, purchased a land plot of 550 m² at an astonishingly low price of 39,000 UAH. Later, in 2019, Oleksiy bought an apartment of 89 m² for 270,000 UAH and two garages at a price matching that of the land plot.

During the war period, Nataliya acquired two non-residential premises measuring 160 m² and 180 m² for 1.2 and 1.4 million UAH, respectively. She is also building a new modern house of 109 m² in the village of Onokivtsi, which, according to local residents, is valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Oleksiy uses a Volkswagen Touareg 2022, rented from LLC "AUTO AVANGARD." The price of such a car exceeds 2.8 million UAH, but for an official with a limited salary, acquiring such an "asset" seems inappropriate. Moreover, in April 2024, Petrichenko was fined for overtaking on a turn in this car.

Despite significant savings of 35,300 euros, 21,000 dollars, and 200,000 UAH, the family’s income appears not to match their lifestyle. Nataliya’s contribution in the form of income from entrepreneurial activities amounts to 448,000 UAH, but the main part of the assets seems to appear "thanks" to her business acumen.
