RF attacked Ukraine with "Shaheds": Air Defence Forces shot down 32 strike drones
On the night of November 9, Russia once again launched an attack on Ukraine. Air defence forces shot down 32 out of 51 Russian kamikaze drones during the night.
An additional 18 enemy UAVs disappeared in various regions of our country. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of November 9, 2024, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 51 strike drones of the "Shahed" type and unknown type UAVs. The occupants launched them from 9:00 PM on November 8 from areas near the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Orel.
Most of the kamikaze drones last night headed towards the Odesa region.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 08:00 AM, the downing of 32 enemy UAVs has been confirmed in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ternopil regions. 18 enemy drones disappeared in various regions of Ukraine," the Air Forces stated.

Thus, in the Cherkasy region, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed three "Shaheds" at night.
"There have been no reports of casualties or property damage to the emergency services yet," clarified the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.
Enemy kamikaze drones were also shot down over the Kirovohrad region.
"In one of the communities of the Holovanivskyi district, a few windows in a private house were damaged by debris from the downed drone. Fortunately, there were no casualties," reported the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andriy Raykovych, on the consequences of the attack.
Two "Shaheds" were destroyed by soldiers of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"This night, servicemen of the Naval Forces shot down two more ’Shaheds’ heading towards their targets. Navy soldiers, together with units from other components of the Defence Forces, stand to protect the sky," reported the Navy, showing the destruction of one of the enemy UAVs on video.
