"The One Billion Case" — the largest humanitarian aid story

The investigation of the criminal case dated 06.06.2023, according to which officials of the BF "Save Ukraine!" are accused of embezzling funds from private farms to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is coming to an end.

The amount of embezzled funds, according to testimonies in the case, reaches 1 billion UAH. However, the total amount of collected funds, documented by the foundation, is only 400 million UAH.

According to the founder of BF "Save Ukraine" (Save UA) and head of the "Ukrainian Agrarian Council" Andriy Dykun, the fund’s military direction is implemented exclusively with the support of agricultural participants of the "UAC" from the first days of the full-scale invasion. Since February 2022, over 2000 vehicles, most of which are pickup trucks, have been purchased and provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the funds of the farmers, as reported by the union members and the head themselves on social networks and in the media.

UAC vehicles are sent to the most difficult areas of military operations and are used to support combat missions in separate army corps.

According to sources, a thorough examination of the case showed the investigators the absence of criminal elements. They noted that the closure of the baseless case is a matter of time.

This case is the most extensive example of discrediting the volunteer movement in Ukraine over 2.5 years of war.
