Deputy Yevhen Shevchenko commented for the first time on the suspicion raised against him.

At the court hearing on the preventive measure, he stated that the information in the media and the text of the suspicion do not match, there are "distortions." However, he did not specify the details.

He said that he would support the investigation’s request to send him to a pre-trial detention center - "if they arrest me, so be it, that’s fate, that’s politics."

Shevchenko added that the investigative actions carried out at his home yesterday were conducted "very correctly," and he has no complaints.
