The capital’s metro has turned into a spontaneous shelter: people have come with belongings and animals
On the morning of November 17, the Russian terrorist army launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. In Kyiv, thousands of people came to metro stations to wait out the enemy strikes.
People came to the capital’s subway with belongings and pets. A correspondent from OBOZ.UA showed how the metro once again turned into a spontaneous shelter.
An air raid alert was announced in the Ukrainian capital at 5:48 am, and around 6:30 am, powerful explosions echoed in the city. As a result of falling debris, damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded in several districts of Kyiv.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had already reported the detection of strategic aviation in Russian airspace during the night. Therefore, hundreds of Kyiv residents began descending into the metro beforehand to wait out the missile attack.
