The situation on the front: 88 combat engagements recorded

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

As noted, Ukrainian defenders are holding the lines and taking necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough of the defense.

The Russian army continues artillery shelling in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Under enemy fire were the areas of Yablunivka, Sydorivka, Oleksandriya, Velyka Pysarivka, and Volfyne in the Sumy region, Lemishchyne in the Kharkiv region, and Leonivka in the Chernihiv region.

Since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have hit their own Kursk region with 15 guided aerial bombs.

In the Kharkiv direction today, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia.

In the Kupyansk direction five assault actions by the Russian army have been stopped near Zahryzove, Kucheriivka, Kruhliakivka, and Zelenyi Hai.

In the Lyman direction the Russians are attacking in the areas of Cherneshchyna, Zarichne, and Terny. Since the start of the day, six combat encounters have already occurred here, one of which is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction Russian troops have actively used bomber aviation. In particular, four guided aerial bombs were dropped near Chervone.

In the Toretsk direction supported by aviation, the occupiers unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions near Toretsk four times, and two aerial bombs were dropped in the Konstantynivka area.

In the Pokrovsk direction the Russian army has already attacked the Defense Forces’ positions 15 times near Myroliubivka, Promin, Kruty Yar, Krasnyi Yar, Lyskiivka, Yurivka, Zhovte, Petrivka, Dachenke, Hryhorivka, and Pushkine.

In the Kurakhove direction Russian forces attempted to assault in the areas of Berestky, Zoria, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Antonivka 12 times. Nine enemy assaults have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and three combat encounters are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction Ukrainian defenders stopped 20 enemy assaults near Trudove, Konstantynopil, Rozdolne, Velyka Novosilka, and Novodarivka. Four more assaults are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv, Hulyaipole, and Siversk directions Russian forces did not conduct active operations today.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks three times.
