The head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Ternopil region, Ruslan Tsvihun, attracted attention with his declaration and the ability to "creatively" approach reporting.

Since February 2021, he has held the position of Head of the Zbarazh State Tax Inspection of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Ternopil region.

During this time, Mr. Tsvihun actively took care of his reputation, striving to avoid negative publications in the media.

He lives in the town of Zboriv with a large family in a house with an area of 130 m², to which an additional 100 m² were added – a bathhouse, a garage, and a kitchen.

The family owns 10 plots of land in various parts of the region. Some of them were purchased at surprisingly low prices: in 2018, 50 ares of land cost only 9 thousand hryvnias. For comparison, in 2023, Tsvigun’s daughter bought 10 ares in the village of Zboriv for 185 thousand hryvnias – a more realistic price.

The tax official’s son-in-law, Andriy Soloviy, purchased an apartment in Ternopil in 2023 for 2.3 million hryvnias with an area of 86 m². In addition, he gifted his wife a HYUNDAI I10 car from 2009. However, the declared price of the car at 14 thousand hryvnias seems to be understated by ten times its real value.

Ruslan Tsvihun himself acquired a 2017 Ford Edge in 2020, which is valued at approximately 1 million hryvnias. However, the declaration states that the car was purchased for 210 thousand hryvnias and registered in his wife’s name.

Interestingly, the son-in-law, working in the State Emergency Service, earns 430 thousand hryvnias a year, which is even more than the father-in-law’s salary of 230 thousand hryvnias, with a pension of 35 thousand hryvnias per year.

The tax official’s daughter received a gift of 203 thousand hryvnias from a relative named Nadiya.

The family declared savings of over 600 thousand hryvnias. However, considering the purchase of an apartment costing 3 million hryvnias, it became known that part of the funds amounting to 1.7 million hryvnias was taken in credit.

This declaration seems remarkably "coordinated," but it leaves many questions. It seems that its preparation has become a real "family quest."
