Massive attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine: 12 hits recorded
On the night of November 27 to 28, 2024, the enemy attacked key infrastructure objects in Ukraine. A total of 12 hits were recorded, primarily at fuel and energy facilities.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
As noted in the report, during the air battle, almost 90% of the "Kalibr" and X-101 cruise missiles were shot down. Three guided aviation missiles and 35 enemy UAVs were also shot down, and over 60 enemy objects were locally destroyed.
"Recently, during air attacks, the enemy has been using a large number of missiles and drones. Their active use in some areas often exceeds the number of air defense means," the report states.
Furthermore, the enemy is implementing modern air attack means and continually improving them.
"All of this significantly complicates the operation of Soviet-made anti-aircraft missile systems that are in service with the Air Force. Western systems operate significantly more effectively under such conditions; however, they are insufficient in Ukraine to reliably protect hundreds of critical infrastructure objects," the report emphasizes.
That is why, during massive enemy attacks, maximum forces and means are engaged, including aviation, electronic warfare, anti-aircraft missile troops, and mobile fire groups.
Additionally, before attacks, the enemy takes into account meteorological conditions that significantly affect the effectiveness of mobile fire groups and fighter aviation. "Dense fog and cloud cover observed in many regions during the attack hindered pilots and mobile fire group calculations from effectively performing their tasks," the Air Force added.
