Advisor to Zelenskyy: Mobilisation of 18-year-olds is not being prepared
Ukraine does not plan to mobilize citizens starting at 18 years old. The President’s Office denies the rumors.
This was stated by the advisor to the President of Ukraine, Dmytro Lytvyn, on the network X.
"No one is planning any mobilization of 18-year-olds," he wrote in response to discussions about the feasibility of sending boys aged 15–17 abroad.
The discussion was related to the statement by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Ukraine has to make "difficult decisions" regarding mobilization.
In his opinion, such a decision will be critically important, because "even with financing, even with ammunition, there have to be people on the front lines to counter Russian aggression."
