On the Zaporizhzhya direction, Russian troops are attempting to attack Ukrainian positions, – Kostyantyn Denysov

In the Zaporizhzhya region, Russian invaders are attempting to assault the positions of Ukrainian military forces. The enemy has significantly intensified their efforts in this direction.

The situation on the front is very difficult and tense now. 

This was reported by the spokesman of the "Svoboda" legion, Kostyantyn Denysov, on the air of KYIV24.

"The situation is very difficult and tense. The enemy has intensified its efforts, increased the number of artillery shellings, regularly delivers air strikes, and attempts assaults. Their infantry assault groups are trying to find weaknesses in our defence, and under the cover of armored vehicles, their tanks are constantly operating, firing, as well as the same APCs," he noted.

Denysov emphasized that Ukrainian military forces had observed the enemy’s preparation for activation in Zaporizhzhya, so the current events did not come as a surprise to the Defence Forces.

"Basically, all of this was anticipated because before this, the Russians were conducting combat training for their air assault units, training infantry, and practicing coordination with armored vehicles. We understood very well why they were doing all this. And now we see that they are gradually beginning to use such composite groups in assaults," noted the spokesman of the "Svoboda" legion.
