In the Zhytomyr region, an Mi-8 shot down a Russian drone "Geran-2"

In the Zhytomyr region, a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter shot down a Russian kamikaze drone "Geran-2".

The "Geran" was successfully intercepted in the Zhytomyr region, and the operation was coordinated from another aircraft. The downed Russian drone fell and exploded outside the city, in a safe area near the border with Belarus. As is known, on the night of December 6 to 7, Russian occupiers launched 14 strike drones and one unidentified type missile at Ukraine.

Units of the anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and other formations of the Defence Forces of Ukraine were able to destroy seven enemy drones. In addition, six drones were lost locationally, and one exited the controlled airspace towards Russia.
