Ukraine has fully prepared for the holding of the second Peace Summit, - Tykhyi
The previously mentioned dates for the second Peace Summit were tentative. Ukraine has prepared everything necessary for the meeting, but work on it is still ongoing.
This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi, in response to a question from a RBC-Ukraine correspondent during a press conference.
"As you can see, there are currently historic, tectonic shifts happening, with a new administration coming in (in the USA - ed.) and in European countries. The peace formula remains the basis for seeing a just end to the war, this is unchanged," Tykhyi said, responding to a question about whether Kyiv will demonstrate the peace plan before the second Peace Summit takes place.
The MFA spokesperson added that Ukraine has prepared everything necessary for holding the second Peace Summit, including all thematic conferences where common positions were agreed upon.
"Ukraine is now, we can say, in a strong diplomatic position, as everything is prepared, but for the summit to take place and be effective, preparation is needed. The dates that were mentioned were tentative," he added.
According to Tykhyi, Kyiv aims to implement everything as quickly as possible, but it needs results, not a "ceremony for the sake of a ceremony."
"However, everything remains on the table and work continues," Tykhyi emphasized.
