A Ukrainian woman in occupied Sevastopol was sentenced to 15 years in prison for "treason"

In the occupied Sevastopol, Ukrainian Oksana Senedzhuk was sentenced to 15 years in prison and fined 200,000 rubles, being found guilty of "state treason".

58-year-old Oksana Senedzhuk, who is a philologist by education, previously worked in the Sevastopol City State Administration and was recognized for her work until 2014.

She actively supported Euromaidan.

In 2022, due to her outspoken pro-Ukrainian position and criticism of Russian aggression, she became a target of persecution.

Oksana Senedzhuk was repeatedly summoned for interrogations, and on August 14, 2024, the Russian FSB conducted a search in her home in Sevastopol, after which she was detained.

On August 15, Oksana Senedzhuk was taken into custody. The occupying "prosecutor’s office" claims that she allegedly assisted Ukrainian intelligence by transmitting information about the location of Russian Black Sea Fleet ships.

According to Russian occupiers, in March 2023, she conducted surveillance, photographed objects, and transmitted this data to Ukrainian special services, acting "on the instructions of a Ukrainian agent" who had been in contact with her since her work in the Sevastopol administration until 2014.

On December 26, the "court" found Oksana Senedzhuk guilty of committing "state treason".
