The activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups has decreased, although attempts to infiltrate Ukrainian territory continue, mostly in the Sumy region.

This was reported on the air by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.

«Although the activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups has decreased, attempts continue, and mostly towards the Sumy region. However, the threat of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups entering Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions also does not disappear,» the spokesperson emphasized.

At the same time, on the border area with Belarus, border guards have not observed any unusual situations recently, Demchenko noted.

According to him, Russia does not have sufficient forces to conduct a repeat invasion of Ukraine or escalate the situation in this direction.

He also emphasized that the direction of Belarus remains threatening for Ukraine, so it is necessary to be vigilant to prevent any provocations and be ready for the development of any situations.
