The court extended the arrest of the defendant in the case of Mukachevo Mayor Baloha

The Higher Anti-Corruption Court extended the detention period of the co-owner of the company LLC "Binom-Group" Vitaliy Zaluzhnyi until February 24 and set a bail alternative of 9 million UAH. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in the case of the mayor of Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region, Andriy Baloha.

This decision was made by the HACC on December 27.

As is known, the anti-corruption court changed Zaluzhnyi’s preventive measure to detention with an alternative bail of 10 million UAH. Later, his bail was reduced to 9 million UAH. The SAPO prosecutor requested to extend the arrest for another two months.

"The motion of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to extend the detention period of the suspect (Zaluzhnyi - ed.) in the criminal proceedings is partially satisfied. Extend the preventive measure in the form of detention of the suspect until February 24, 2025, inclusive. Set the bail for the suspect at 9,000,000 UAH," the decision states.
