The number of dead and injured in Kherson region as a result of yesterday’s shelling has increased

This was reported by the Communication Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

«In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 17 injured as a result of Russian shelling: police record the consequences of the attacks», the message says.

It is noted that during the day, Russian forces shelled residential buildings, educational and preschool institutions, and vehicles in the Kherson region using artillery, mortars, tanks, aviation, and UAVs.

According to the NPU, cities and villages affected by the enemy’s attacks include Kherson, Antonivka, Stanislav, Sadove, Naddnipryanske, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Shyroka Balka, Oleksandrivka, Ponyativka, Molodizhne, Nezlamne, Veletenske, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Novoberyslav, Chervonyi Mayak, Zamozhne, Rakivka, and Novoraysk.

«Enemy shelling damaged 61 objects: 42 private and six multi-story buildings, a critical infrastructure object, two educational institutions, a kindergarten, four vehicles, gas pipelines, two garages, and an outbuilding,» the press service reported.

In Beryslav, Russians again struck using drones. As a result of the attacks, a 54-year-old man died, and five locals sustained mine-explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds.

A 60-year-old woman died in her own yard due to artillery shelling in Nezlamne. Her house and gas pipeline were damaged.

In Bilozerka, during an artillery shelling, a 24-year-old man was injured, diagnosed with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to the thigh.

As a result of dropping explosives from UAVs on residential areas of Antonivka, two private houses were damaged. Due to drone strikes, two private houses and a garage were damaged in Novoberislav and Chervonyi Mayak.

«Occupants struck Zamozhne with an FPV-type drone, damaging a private house and two civilian cars. Artillery fire damaged a private house, gas pipeline, and garage in Komyshany, as well as private and multi-story buildings in Veletenske,» the institution reported.

It is noted that during the day, Russian aviation attacked the Korabelnyi and Central districts of Kherson, using four guided aerial bombs. Thirty-four private and five multi-story buildings, a university building, a kindergarten, a car, and an outbuilding were damaged. Eleven locals were injured to varying degrees.

«Korabelnyi district also underwent artillery shelling. In the Dniprovskyi district, the enemy struck a civilian car with an FPV drone, causing damage,» the police noted.

All specialized services were working at the shelling sites.

It is separately noted that over the past day, police responded to 599 statements and reports from citizens regarding criminal offenses and other events. Sixteen proceedings were opened under Article 438 «War Crimes» of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
