The military of the Russian occupation army has begun implementing a new tactic on the front line involving the use of drones with payload drops. This allows enemy unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out more strikes and partially avoid the impact of electronic warfare systems.

This strategy is being implemented by the invaders using both FPV drones and Mavic drones. This was reported by officer Volodymyr Chernyak from the 4th Operational Brigade "Rubizh" of the National Guard.

"There is a pilot who is located at a safe distance where the FPV drone can operate. And close to our positions, there is an RF serviceman who has spare batteries and ammunition for, for example, a Mavic or FPV," the military officer noted.

According to him, the invader approaches closer to Ukrainian positions, attaches ammunition to the drones, and launches them with the same pilot standing further away. Thus, after the UAV drops the ammunition, it does not need to return to the base 10 km away.

"This is done to reduce the flight distance to the target. After all, over the 10 km that the drone flies, it can be affected by the electronic warfare system ten times," explained the officer.
