Ukraine has created only 13% of the gigawatt of energy generation promised by Zelenskyy

Instead of the planned 1 GW of power generation, according to the calculations of "Ukrenergo," only 133 MW were achieved, which is just a little over one-tenth of the declared volume.

This conclusion follows from the response of "Ukrenergo" to the inquiry by Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

"The Ministry of Energy has repeatedly reported on the fulfillment of this goal, and reports were also submitted to the President’s Office. However, according to the official response from "Ukrenergo," the real figure is only 13%. Not even close to one gigawatt," Zheleznyak emphasized.

Let us remind you that in June 2022, President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine, together with international partners, intends to build 1 GW of maneuverable gas generation by the end of the year and an additional 4 GW in the coming years.
