Zelenskyy met with the leader of the Slovak opposition

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, January 17, received the leader of Slovakia’s largest opposition party "Progressive Slovakia," Michal Šimečka, who arrived in Kyiv.

This was reported by  "Ukrinform".

During the meeting, Zelenskyy and Šimečka discussed bilateral relations and energy security.

"For us, everything you have done for our people is very important, your attitude, thank you for supporting our sovereignty, our people. Your visit is a signal that you will continue to support our sovereignty, our independence," Zelenskyy is quoted as saying by „Ukrinform”.

The head of state also told Šimečka that it is important for Ukraine "to hear the signal from the Slovak people that you will also support the Ukrainian people on our way to the EU and NATO, as this is crucial for us".
