In Kyiv, a man opened fire at a service station
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who may be connected to a shooting with an automatic weapon at a service station.
The incident occurred on Monday, January 20, in the Darnytskyi district of the capital – the suspect fled the scene, but was tracked down by the police.
This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Kyiv Patrol Police. It is noted that service station employees contacted law enforcement officers.

They reported that an aggressive man threatened them with physical harm and, according to the applicant, fired an automatic weapon. The potential perpetrator fled the scene in a Volkswagen car.

"Patrol officers quickly searched the surrounding area and found the fugitive’s car, and in one of the premises – the perpetrator. The inspectors detained the citizen and handed him over to investigators. We further inspected the man’s vehicle and found a weapon inside. The seized items were sent for examination," the Patrol Police reported.

Information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
