He notes that Ukraine’s partners are very reluctant to "give up" "Patriots" because they are seriously starting to discuss the possibility that Russian missiles could be launched against them.

Within the framework of this conflict, Ukraine will not receive a sufficient number of air defence systems. This opinion was expressed by Yevhen Dykyi, a former platoon commander of the Aidar battalion, during the broadcast of "Novyny.Live" while discussing the counteraction to Russian strikes using air defense systems.

He reminded that it had been previously stated that Ukraine needs at least 10 Patriot installations.

"They promised us five ’Patriots’ and provided five. And no one has promised more yet. They are very reluctant to ’give up’ ’Patriots’… They are already seriously considering the possibility that Russian missiles could be launched against them," Dykyi said.

According to the former commander, "the whole security of Europe depends precisely on American ’Patriots’."

"I think that within this conflict, we still will not have a sufficient number of air defense systems. Yes, one day we will have an ’iron sky,’ and our air defense will cover the entire territory. But that is a task for the post-war period. We will have to endure this war with insufficient air defense," he noted.
