Situation on the front: in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 attacks

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 16:00 on Sunday, January 26.

Russian troops continue to use artillery and aviation on the territory of Ukraine. The area of the settlement of Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region came under enemy fire.

According to the General Staff, in the Kharkiv direction, there were three combat clashes in the area of Vovchansk. One battle is ongoing.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine Russian assault actions near Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Zahryzove. Two combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Nadiia, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Yampolivka, and Torske. Eleven combat clashes have been recorded here since the beginning of the day, four of which are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, near Chasiv Yar, the invaders advanced toward the positions of Ukrainian troops 13 times. They also advanced toward Bila Hora. Eleven of the 14 combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops near Toretsk eight times. Three combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, fierce battles are taking place in the areas of Vodyane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zelenyi, Udachne, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, and Yantarne. The enemy attempted 38 times to displace Ukrainian defenders from occupied positions; 30 attacks have already been repulsed.

In the Novopavlivka direction, seven combat clashes are ongoing in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Novosilka, and Velyka Novosilka. Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy assaults.

In the Siiversk, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.

In the Kursk direction, there were five combat clashes. Russians dropped 24 guided aerial bombs on the areas of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, conducted 266 artillery strikes, including four using multiple launch rocket systems.
