Budanov made a troubling forecast regarding the war and negotiations, - media

The Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, noted that serious negotiations to end the war need to begin by summer, as processes that could threaten the existence of Ukraine may start.

This was reported in an article by Ukrayinska Pravda.

According to the publication, a closed meeting was recently held in the Verkhovna Rada. The leaders of the parliament and factions invited the command of the Defence Forces to familiarize themselves with the real situation in the war.

"Initially, representatives of the General Staff spoke in a detailed, complicated, but very interesting manner. There were various reports afterwards. However, Budanov’s response was the most memorable. Someone asked him how much time we still have. And Kyrylo replied with a cold smile: ’If there are no serious negotiations by summer, very dangerous processes for the very existence of Ukraine may begin.’ This made everyone reflect and fall silent. Clearly, everything needs to be successful," reported a participant of the meeting.
