Occupiers blew up the pipes of the Siverskyi Donets canal to expand offensive actions, – Armed Forces of Ukraine

Russian forces have increased pressure on Ukrainian troops near Chasiv Yar.

Russian military damaged the pipelines of the Siverskyi Donets channel to make way for equipment during the offensive and increased pressure on Ukrainian forces in the direction of Chasiv Yar. This was reported by the spokesperson of the "Luhansk" Operational Tactical Group, Dmytro Zaporozhets, during a telethon broadcast.

"...The enemy has significantly increased pressure on Ukraine’s defense forces, using equipment more actively, such as armored combat vehicles along with troops. In several places along the Siverskyi Donets channel, they blew up pipes to create passages for the use of equipment for further assault actions, possibly even motorcycles, to establish logistical support for offensive units, as well as for offensive actions," he reported.

The spokesperson noted that Russian forces are trying to expand the line of combat engagement towards Chasiv Yar.

He confirmed the presence of the Russian special unit "Akhmat" and the "Rusich" formation on the southeastern outskirts in the direction of Chasiv Yar. He also added that in interceptions, the enemy uses military terminology, indicating their preparedness in assault actions and understanding of the use of assault units.
