Russian occupiers have taken a significant part of the village of Velyka Novosilka.

This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, a representative of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia," during a telethon broadcast.

"To avoid encirclement of Ukrainian forces in the southern part of the settlement, they were withdrawn from there and now occupy certain positions within the settlement, but closer to its outskirts. Any further actions could have led to their encirclement and unnecessary losses among Ukrainian defenders. Therefore, at this point, the Russians have taken a significant part of the settlement, while Ukrainians hold positions to prevent the enemy from advancing further," Trehubov explained.
