The occupiers are trying to hold on in the island area at the mouth of the Dnipro, - OSG "Kherson"

In the Kherson region, Russian occupiers continue to try to establish themselves in the island area at the mouth of the Dnipro River.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the Kherson operational-tactical group, Pavlo Drohal, during a briefing.

"The Russian occupiers continue to try to establish themselves in the island area at the mouth of the Dnipro River, launching artillery strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and civilian infrastructure," Drohal noted.

According to him, overall, from January 20 to January 26, the enemy conducted 529 shellings. Additionally, three airstrikes were carried out.

There were also 19 attempts to conduct assault actions. All offensive actions by the enemy were repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

The enemy’s losses amounted to 122 Russian invaders killed and wounded, as well as 51 units of weapons and military equipment.
