In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to Fico’s statements about "enemies"
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that Fico and some Slovak parliamentarians have succumbed to the influence of Russian propaganda, due to which they have stopped distinguishing between black and white.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the controversial statements made by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, claiming that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly an "enemy of Slovakia." The Ukrainian diplomatic agency published a corresponding statement.
The commentary states that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, amidst declining trust from Slovak society and protests against his pro-Russian course, began looking for enemies and found them in Ukraine.
"We consider these latest absurd statements as an attempt to shift responsibility for one’s own failures in domestic policy onto foreign states and leaders. We advise paying attention not abroad, but to one’s own reflection in the mirror," the message states.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the Ukrainian side has repeatedly warned about the danger of the Slovak leadership’s pro-Russian policy and expressed confidence that such a position by Fico contradicts the choice of the Slovak people.
"The result is obvious: Robert Fico and some Slovak parliamentarians have succumbed to the influence of Russian propaganda, stopped distinguishing between black and white, and have now started calling leaders of neighboring friendly democracies ’enemies,’" the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
