Putin has started to completely ignore military actions in the Kursk region, - media

According to the publication, in January Putin mentioned the Kursk region only once in his speeches. He did so in a congratulatory address to prosecutor’s office employees, where he urged law enforcement to "pay special attention to solving the problems of citizens in Donbas and the Kursk region".

"Agency.News" claims that this is the first case since the beginning of the Armed Forces’ operation in the Kursk region that the dictator has almost not publicly spoken about the situation in the region.

The head of the Kremlin mentioned the events in the Kursk region most often in August, when Ukrainian soldiers broke through the border, and also in December, summing up the year.

It is worth noting that this neglect of the events in the Kursk region is observed specifically in January, when the advance of Russian forces in the region significantly slowed down. In particular, the total area of combat operations decreased by 33.4 square kilometers. According to DeepState, the Armed Forces continue to control 439.5 square kilometers of Russian territory, while another 187 square kilometers remain in the "gray zone".

The publication notes that now Putin speaks more frequently about other topics instead of the Kursk region. In particular, in January he mentioned the new US President Donald Trump twice.
