Night shelling of Zaporizhzhya: the occupiers launched more than 10 strikes on the city

Russian occupiers launched more than ten strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhya during the night of February 1st. This attack has become one of the most intense.

This was reported with reference to the head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.

"The enemy launched more than 10 strikes on Zaporizhzhya. This is the most massive shelling in recent times," said the official’s message on the Telegram channel.

The head of the regional military administration noted that the consequences of the shelling are being determined. All emergency services are working at the sites.

At the same time, the official clarified that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

"The enemy’s attack continues. An alarm has been declared throughout the region. Do not ignore safety rules," he added.

Later, he added that private households were affected by the shelling in Zaporizhzhya. Windows were shattered and roofs were damaged.

Efforts are underway to determine the consequences of the enemy attack on the city.

It is also worth noting that earlier monitoring groups reported that after the air attack using drones, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhya, after which power partially went out in the city.

Zaporizhzhya’s Telegram channels also reported that there were fires amidst the drone attacks.

As explained by the head of the regional administration, Fedorov, according to updated information, the enemy targeted Zaporizhzhya with 16 drones.

"As a result of the attack, an infrastructure facility, a multi-story building, and private houses were damaged. Over 400 subscribers have lost power," he reported.

Later, the head of the regional administration reported that according to preliminary data, there were no casualties in Zaporizhzhya following the Russian drone attack.

"Specialists from the State Emergency Service, power engineers, utility services are involved in eliminating the consequences, medical teams are ready," the official said.

The head of the regional administration published a video on the network at around 04:10 showing part of the consequences of the Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhya that night. He also mentioned that an educational institution in the city was damaged by the shelling.

Later, the head of the regional administration reported that in Zaporizhzhya, as a result of Russian strikes, an educational institution, houses, and vehicles were damaged. The official showed photos and added that utility services have already begun work on eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack.
