Explosion near the TRC in Pavlohrad: SSU detained three enemy agents

Three hostile agents of Russia have been arrested for detonating an explosive device near a territorial recruitment center (TRC) in Pavlohrad, which resulted in the injury of a Ukrainian serviceman.

This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).

According to the SSU, with the explosion near the TRC, Russia attempted to discredit the activities of the TRC and disrupt mobilization in the region by sowing distrust among citizens towards the servicemen.

As part of comprehensive measures in Dnipro and the Odesa region, law enforcement officers detained all the suspects within a day. They turned out to be three men aged 21 and 22 who were looking for "easy" money on Telegram.

"According to instructions from a curator, one of the figures, a resident of Pavlohrad, independently manufactured an improvised explosive device (IED) and hid it in a cache near his home. It has been established that the explosive was filled with nails and nuts to increase its destructiveness upon detonation," reported the SSU.

The other two agents, residents of the Donetsk region, arrived in Pavlohrad, where they received the coordinates of the cache. After retrieving the package with the explosive, the IED was installed next to the building of the TRC. Cameras were placed to capture the aftermath of the explosion. The explosive device was activated via a mobile phone call.

After the terrorist attack, the hostile agents "went underground" and awaited payment from their handler.

All detainees have been charged under part 2 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a terrorist act. They face up to 12 years imprisonment with confiscation of property.
