Security Service of Ukraine exposed 17 organizers of "schemes for draft evaders"

Fraudsters were selling fake medical disability certificates or illegally transporting draft dodgers abroad, bypassing checkpoints. The price for such "services" reached 14 thousand dollars.

The Security Service and the National Police exposed new evasion schemes from mobilization. As a result of comprehensive measures in various regions of Ukraine, 17 organizers of the schemes were detained. This was reported by the press service of the SSU on Friday, February 7.

Fraudsters were selling fake medical disability certificates or illegally transporting draft dodgers abroad, bypassing checkpoints. The price for such "services" reached 14 thousand dollars.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, an official of the district TRC and the head of the local military medical commission were detained for selling fake medical certificates of "poor" health.

They involved an accomplice in their illegal activities, who sought potential clients among conscripts.

In Zakarpattia, in the Rakhiv district, a dealer was detained who equipped draft dodgers in wetsuits and transported them across a border river to the EU.

In Uzhgorod, three international route drivers were detained, who hid conscripts in truck cabs and exported them abroad.

Another seven individuals were exposed in the Khust district of the region, including officials of medical institutions and a lawyer. They were selling fake medical conclusions for "writing off" potential conscripts from military registration due to health conditions.

In Cherkasy, a former medical worker was detained along with an accomplice. The head of a pharmaceutical company and his assistant were issuing fake certificates of severe illnesses for draft dodgers.

All the detainees have been notified of suspicion of committing crimes under several articles of the Criminal Code.

The individuals face up to ten years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
