Trump confirmed Kellogg’s visit to Kyiv and announced talks with Zelenskyy

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on February 10th that he will speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week. He also confirmed that his special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will soon visit Kyiv.

This is reported by Radio Free Europe.

At the same time, the publication notes that Trump did not specify when exactly Kellogg will visit Ukraine. Previously, CNN reported that the envoy’s visit would take place next week, while AFP, citing a source close to the Ukrainian president, indicated that it would happen on February 20th.

In addition, recently Zelenskyy’s press secretary Serhiy Nykyforov announced that Kellogg is expected to meet the President of Ukraine at the Munich Security Conference, which will begin on February 14th, and also that the Ukrainian leader will meet with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance on the sidelines of the conference.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defence Minister Pete Hegseth also plan to attend Munich.

"We will convey our expectations to the allies. When we return from Munich, we will present options to the president so that when he is directly involved in the peace process, he knows what it will look like for him," Kellogg said in an interview with the AP.

Kellogg noted that the White House is settling the details of the talks, which will provide Trump’s key aides with the first serious opportunity to convey to the public the new administration’s approach to the war.

"Knowing how this process works, it would probably be better for Zelenskyy if we all got together and discussed it as a group," Trump’s special envoy said.
