The SSU is conducting security measures near Kyiv

The Security Department of Ukraine is carrying out planned counterintelligence activities in the Bucha district of Kyiv region. Ukrainians have been warned about possible inspections.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region on Facebook.

The security operations are conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in collaboration with the National Police and the Group of Defence Forces and Means of the city of Kyiv. The aim is to strengthen counter-sabotage protection of the capital and nearby settlements.

The Security Service of Ukraine announced that law enforcement officers:

• inspect areas and specific premises to detect objects prohibited for circulation;
• conduct checks on citizens present in the respective area.

Ukrainians have been warned that during the actions, there may be restrictions on movement through the streets of certain settlements, document checks on citizens, and vehicle inspections.

"The Security Service of Ukraine appeals to citizens to reasonably understand the possible inconveniences and adequately respond to the lawful actions and requirements of law enforcement, to carry identity documents with them, and to observe the curfew," the message states.
