Border guards destroyed an enemy vehicle and shelter in the Kharkiv region
The aerial reconnaissance team of the Kharkiv Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service demonstrated the impressive nighttime work of their drones. Just one of these drones destroyed one vehicle and eight enemy shelters in a single flight.
The Kharkiv border guards, as part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, continue to carry out combat missions to counter the Russian-occupation forces, as noted by the SBGS. Aerial reconnaissance team clarifies that the mentioned result is the nighttime work of "Baba Yaga".
The Kharkiv Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service (the fourth border detachment) guards the Ukrainian-Russian section of the border, which spans 315.5 km across four districts: Bohodukhiv, Kupyansk, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv.
The mentioned "Baba Yaga" is a Ukrainian heavy copter Vampire. This nickname was given to the UAV by the occupiers due to its solely nighttime operations, dropping a large number of munitions.
The use of this drone during the day is impossible, as due to its heavy weight and full load, the drone can only ascend to several dozen meters. Additionally, it has a low speed and a loud engine sound.

However, "Baba Yaga" has its advantages. The main one being that during its operation, the drone can make 8-12 flights and hit about 10 targets, including 3-5 pieces of military equipment worth millions of dollars. Compared to the cost of the drone (the most expensive one costs no more than $20,000), this is a significant advantage.
It’s no coincidence that occupiers gave such a nickname to the UAV they fear more than others. Among the invaders, there are even legends that the Vampire has claws with which drone operators "abduct" wounded occupiers.
This is, of course, a myth. However, drone operators claim that this UAV has good accuracy, radio communication, and a thermal imaging camera. The unmanned bomber is equipped with an infrared camera.
It can simultaneously drop up to 4 munitions on enemies, doing so with the utmost precision. A warhead weighing 15 kg can also be installed.

"Baba Yaga" navigates itself using satellites and maps. In this mode, the drone can independently and quite accurately hit a target, dropping munitions. However, when enemy electronic warfare is in play, the UAV can be controlled manually. This method is easier and more comfortable to handle.
Vampire drones are usually operated by three people: a commander, a pilot, and a bomber.
