The Kursk operation has achieved its objective, the situation near Pokrovsk is stable, - Zelenskyy

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with journalists.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers exhibited remarkable resilience by withstanding a powerful enemy strike, which allowed the pressure on critically important sections of the front to weaken.

"Our guys are absolutely heroic; they took the brunt of a powerful strike. The pressure first eased in the Kharkiv direction as the Russians pulled back the maximum number of troops to the Kursk region. Then they started withdrawing forces from the East, but they did not abandon their main goal - Pokrovsk," Zelenskyy noted.

The President emphasized that thanks to the Kursk operation, the situation in the Pokrovsk and Kharkiv directions stabilized, and it will be "very difficult" for the enemy to threaten Pokrovsk again.

"I can only thank our soldiers for the Kursk operation. I believe it has fulfilled its mission," he concluded.
