In Bila Tserkva, an officer of the Military Law Enforcement Service was detained for extortion of a bribe
An officer of the Military Law Enforcement Service was detained for extortion of a bribe.
Investigation officers established that a serviceman from the Bila Tserkva zonal department of the Military Law Enforcement Service demanded 10,000 US dollars for assisting a local resident in securing a position in the rear unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with subsequent removal from military registration due to health reasons.
Operatives detained the officer. Authorized searches were conducted in his office, residence, and vehicle.
The detainee has already been informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – receiving improper benefits.
